On Saturday morning, July 6, 2024, a delegation from Jordanian Civil Aviation arrived on a field visit to Mitiga International Airport to discuss operating a direct air line between Amman and Tripoli.
Today, Saturday, a Royal Jordanian plane arrived at Mitiga International Airport carrying a team from the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority on a field visit to the airport. The Ministry of Transportation stated that the visit aims to review the equipment and procedures used at the airport and the extent of their compliance with standard procedures and to determine the procedures followed in the operation process. The airport and its conformity with internationally recognized requirements. The Ministry explained that through this visit, the concerned team will decide on the possibility of operating a direct air line between Libya and Jordan via Royal Jordanian Airlines.
The Libyan team included the Civil Aviation Authority and the Airports Authority corresponding to the Jordanian delegation, and also held a parallel meeting with handling and ground services companies operating at Mitiga International Airport.
Handling services for the flight were provided by the Libyan Ground Services Company, and all thanks and appreciation go to the company’s departments operating at Mitiga Airport station for the work they provided.
