Afriqiyah Airways hosted a meeting of the Executive commission of the African Aviation Committee (AFRAA) in Tripoli
During this meeting a number of issues were discussed including the developments in African aviation industry, the coordination of training programs through the ideal use of currently available training centres in the African continent.
According to statements after the event, the meeting also discussed the establishment of data base for airplanes’ maintenance centres in Africa and the standards according to which these centres operate.
The gathering comes as part of the preparations for the General Assembly meeting of the AFRAA which will be held in Addis Ababa in October.
The chairman of the Executive Committee of AFRAA praised Afriqiyah Airways for the organization of the meeting which ended in success. Mr. Hussain Masoud, the CEO of the Egyptian Aviation Company, expressed his appreciation for the effort put into the meeting by Afriqiyah.
Masoud also held meetings with Captain Sabri Shadi Chairman of the Libyan African Aviation Holding Company.
