Libyan Ground Services is owned by Libyan African Aviation Holding Company, (LAAHCO), based in Libya. It was the First Handling Company to ever operate in Libya provides full ground handling services on 24-hours basis, and active at all Libyan airports. We’re capable of expediting your journey with the help of expert handling facilities. Owing to our rich experience in the aviation field which goes back to more than 40 years ago. As a result, we have developed and secured a network of resources that will meet your specific demands and needs, wherever and whenever you plan to fly to Libya.


Through our 40 years of experience in the field of aviation services, we managed to build a network of resources that will provide your fleet with all the necessary ramp equipment according to the aircraft type and flight purpose. Libyan Ground Services staff are well trained on dealing with almost all types of aircrafts, and is well informed of the requirements of every aircraft from equipment and the required time for providing high quality service in the least time to ensure cost efficiency.

Furthermore:

Libyan African Holding Company, LAAHCO, the parent company of the Libyan Handling and Aircraft Maintenance Company, LHAMS, has decided to separate the airport ground handling operations from the aircraft maintenance activities. “The purpose of this restructuring is to improve providing both these services and to focus on improving standards, the separation of these two activities required that a new company is formed to specialize in ground handling activities and LHAMS be remodeled to perform only aircraft maintenance activities.


The new handling company is named Libyan Ground Services, and LHAMS has been renamed ‘Libyan Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance Company’
The operations of Libyan Ground Services started in one step at all Libyan commercial airports by acquiring all ground handling equipment available within LHAMS and Afriqiyah Airways in all Libyan airports and engaging the services of staff in LHAMS and Afriqiyah Airways Handling Centre, the purpose of this total shift of staff and equipment is to ensure continuity.

The company has also ordered additional new equipment to ensure better equipment readiness and availability, and cater for increasing traffic,
Libyan Ground Services has entered into agreements with airlines companies to provide ground handling services for flights to and from Libyan airports with effect from July 1st, 2009.
